Lacy Wire Necklace

Since I started making glass cabochons, I have been turning some into buttons, and others, well, sit waiting until inspiration hits.   Recently, I came across a most wonderful book – Lacy Wire Jewelry by Melody MacDuffee.  I now have great ideas on what to do with the glass as well as the rock cabochons I polished at the local Gem and Mineral Society.  Here is a necklace I made for a special commission:

The silver leaf reacted with the glass, and gave the cab an overall gold look. I used copper wire and chain, and honey colored seed beads to complement the cab.
