Zentangle Challenge#37 “Kiss My Grids”

For this weeks challenge, we were to do a tangle based on grids.  And here is what I came up with:

Zentangle Challenge #36 “Assunta”

This week, the Diva has challenged us to do a zentangle with the new tangle “Assunta” by Rick & Maria of Zentangle.  I had fun with this one:

Zentangle Challenge #35 “Tile On Tile”

This weeks challenge is brought to us by zentangle teacher, Margaret Bremner.  Margaret has challenged us to do a tile within a tile.  Since I liked last weeks challenge so much, I decided to do an “opposites attract” tile within a tile.  My curves are in the smaller tile in front of the straight line tangles:

Zentangle Challenge #34 “Opposites Attract”

Guest Zentangle instructor Christina, is back with another challenge.  This week she gave us the option of starting with lines and filling in with curves, or starting with curves and filling in with lines.  I chose the first option:This was a fun challenge. If time permits, I think I will do the other option this week.

Zentangle Challenge #33 “Pendriss”

The Diva is back, and has challenged us with a new tangle, “Pendriss”.  It felt a bit awkward to draw, so I kept it simple:

Zentangle Challenge #32 “Zentangle Is For Everyone”

This weeks guest Zentangle teacher is Carole Ohl.  Carole has challenged us with using four different tangles: Pais, Zedbra, Keenees, and Baton. And here is my tile:

I enjoyed this challenge. It’s always fun to learn different patterns.

Zentangle Challenge #31 “Fairyland”

This week, guest zentangle instructor, Carol Baily Floyd challenged us with drawing a “Fairyland” zentangle – a place that fairies would dwell.  And here is my interpretation:

I enjoyed doing this challenge.  It brought back magical memories of childhood.

Zentangle Challenge #30 “String Theory v.V Initialize”

This week, the Diva shared her podium with guest, Christina. Christina’s challenge to us was to start our tangle with our initials. In my case, it would be LD:

No, that is not a spider. It is a tangle bug with 6 legs :-).

Zentangle Challenge #29 String Theory v.IV “Creative Genesis”

For this week’s challenge, the Diva assigned us to create an initial string by using a string with a weight on it, and draping it over our tile.  I chose a silver pendant and chain that my mother-in-law had given me.  I draped it over the tile, traced it, and created my tangle:

For some reason, I felt the need to draw the girl inside the tangle.  She kind of reminds me of the Virgin of Guadalupe.

Zentangle Challenge #28 Trip To Tripoli

This week, the Diva’s weekly assignment was to do a tangle using “Tripoli” – three sided polygon:

I thought this would be an easy pattern, but I was wrong.  The more I drew, the more distorted it got.  So, I just did a small section, and filled in the rest with whatever :-).

Zentangle Challenge #27 “Duo Tangle”

This week, we were to use two tangles, Dex and Verdigogh.  It was a bit difficult for me to do when limited to two defined tangles.  Here is my effort:

Zentangle Challenge #26 “String Theory v.III – Spiral Out, Keep Going”

I drew a double spiral to start this week’s zentangle:
