My Talented Daughter

I have a very talented daughter.  She does many artsy things, one of them being amigurumi.  She’s made many handmade gifts for friends and relatives, and most recently made this crocheted Charmander.  I was so impressed, I decided to share:

We have decided to combine our talents and open an Etsy shop featuring her creative creatures and some of mine.  Keep your eyes open for the announcement!

Back To School & QP Freebie

Whatever happened to back to school in September? With the “Modified Traditional” schedule of our local school system, our dear daughter will be going back to school in less than two weeks! With that in mind, I thought it would be fun to work on a Back To School layout.  This layout is a bit elementary considering she is a senior in HS, but I thought it was cute:

Kit: Back To School by Farrahs Designer Scraps.  Farrah is having a Buy My Store sale going on for the amazing price of $10.00! If you have ever wanted to start Digital Scrapbooking or just want to add to your digital collection, head on over to her store Designer Scraps.

Here is the layout I made.  The board on the QP is left blank for your own personal journaling:

My Beads On easy Wire Magazine!

Last September, I had the honor of being Lori Anderson’s (of Pretty Things) Cup Bead Soup Artist of the month.  Lori made some gorgeous jewelry, and even a chandelier fan pull.  Well, Lori submitted the Flower Garden Necklace (using my purple lampwork glass roses) for publication to easy Wire Magazine, and the issue just came out! How exciting is that!

Thank you so much Lori!
