This week, we were given a string done by the Diva. It will be interesting to see the different tangles everyone comes up with. Here is the string:
And here is my tangle:

I found this week’s challenge to be a lot of fun. I asked my daughter to draw a tangle for me:
And this is what I came up with (do you see the creature in there?):
I did this during my daughter’s physical therapy. Since I had my camera (to take the “before” tangle), I took some shots of my daughter working hard. At least she has a nice view out the window :-). This is the quintessential image of what surrounds our town; Orange groves set amidst rows of palm trees against a backdrop of snowcapped mountains. Ok, there are some random trees that got in the way of the orange trees, but they are there :-):

This week, Rick and Maria of Zentangle came up with a new tangle called “Oof“. Since I have been thinking “garden & flowers” lately, I decided to incorporate a flower into this weeks challenge:
“Oof” was not that simple to draw – for me. My initial diamonds were a bit misaligned, so the overall “Oof” is a bit off. I’ll call mine “Goof”. Otherwise, it was as usual, very fun to do :-).

This weeks challenge was based on the work of William Morris, an English textile designer, writer, and artist. We were assigned to use black stock paper, and draw with a white pen. Well, I went to five different stores looking for a white gel pen, either they were out, or did not carry them. So, I decided to draw this zentangle using photoshop elements:
My skills with the digital pen leave a lot to be desired, but it was good practice. And here are some examples of the work of William Morris:

This week, we were to zentangle an egg. I drew the egg in two pieces. The crack on the egg does not fit the other 🙂
It looks a bit wonky… whatever.

Whew! I am finally caught up!
As the title says, walk the line – we were to draw a tile with only straight lines – no curves!

Well, I wasn’t too thrilled with this challenge, non-dominatrix. I am right handed, so I had to draw a tile with my left hand. And here is my effort:

Yay! some color. Traditionally, zentangles are done in black and white, but for this challenge, we were to design a tile and color it blue:
I drew this by hand, scanned it, and colored it in photoshop elements.

As the title says, monotangle. Use one tangle for the challenge:
It may be because I am so new to this, but I found this challenge a bit difficult, and a little boring.
