Cup Bead Soup Update

Lori Anderson of Pretty Beads has extended my Cup Bead Soup Artist for the month of August into September – yay! And here is her first creation.  She has made a beautiful chandelier pull – it never occured to me to make them out of hollow beads:

You can go to Lori’s Cup Bead Soup Blog for more on this beautiful creation.

My First Etsy Sale!

Well, life has been pretty busy lately. Between my daughter’s volleyball tryouts and getting ready for The Artists for a Cause show, I haven’t had much time to update my blog. Anyway, I just made my very first Etsy sale! And to commemorate the event :-), here is a picture of the package going to my very first Etsy customer – Thank you Shoshana!

Artists for a Cause

I will be participating in the 2010 Artists for a Cause Show. This year’s recipient charity is Children’s Fund of San Bernardino County. The show is on Sunday, November 14th from 10:00am to 4:00pm. If you are in the neighborhood, please stop by:

A Blue Ribbon & Bawls Guarana

I recently entered a recycled art contest on a whim. To my pleasant surprise, I won 1st place! The recycled object was a beautiful blue glass bottle containing an energy drink. I made disks and small spacers and put together a necklace/earring set. Breaking the glass down to manageable pieces was a challenge, but the overall process was a lot of fun. I named the set “Something Blue” – I am very honored.
