Worldwide Christmas Scrapbooking Freebie 2013

I am once again participating in the Worldwide Christmas Scrapbooking Freebies blog hop.  These graphics are from the same cute vintage children’s activity book I used to make last years kit.  I love Nativity Scenes – isn’t this one just wonderful!  It’s been quite a while since I did any digital graphics/scrapbooking, so it was a lot of fun. I scanned and extracted some elements, added some CU items, and this is what I came up with.  For more free kits, click on the Worldwide Christmas Scrapbooking icon. Please note that this is for personal use only – Enjoy!

And here is the preview and download to my kit:

Happy Thanksgiving

Earlier this month, dear daughter was involved in a cycling crash and airlifted to the hospital…  She has recovered quite well with the addition of a few battle scars.

On this day and everyday, I am thankful to God for my family, friends, community, and Country.  Have a safe & Happy Thanksgiving!

November Garden & Update

November is already half over, and this is my first post of the month.  I want to make sure to post my garden, and some updates.  I have two tiny persimmon trees, and they have generously produced some fruits.  I love persimmons, as I grew up with them, and they also have the vibrant orange color I associate with fall – so pretty!

Here is a pillow that I made. A few of my quilty friends have been making them.  You cut out flowers and leaves from printed fabrics, lay them out, sew them on using free motion, and voila! – a pretty decorative pillow.  This method is really good for practicing free motion – very forgiving:
