Dear daughter recently organized a conference for the Cal-Neva American Fisheries Society. I volunteered to make a quilt for the silent auction and a few other items for sale. I asked her for the CA native fish, and this is the quilt I made. I also made necklaces out of vintage lures, and patches with my embroidery machine. They were apparently a hit! I had so much fun creating!
I created all the fish on the quilt by downloading photos of the fish on my computer, and tracing patterns with my tracer. Well, it was dark in the bonus room, and I took a break. When I came back, I forgot to tape the tracing paper on the door. Now I have a permanent Sacramento Perch sharpied on my washroom door!
